Beckham Transit Company History

Beckham Transit Company is proudly owned and operated by __________ and is an accredited operator with the ______________. Established in June 1966, Beckham Transit began with one Dodge Van and two passengers. By September 1966, there were two vans and eighty passengers, in four programs. The year 1968 became a milestone in the history of Beckham School Transit Company when the company moved to Harvey and expanded its fleet of buses to three full-size buses and its clients to include three public and private contracts.

Beckham School Transit Company moved in 1970 into its present facility which was expanded in 1981. In April 1992, the name was shortened to BSTCO but the name was changed back to Beckham Transit Company in 2003.
